Galaxy Paints and Coatings Ltd was established in 1967, making it the sixth paint manufacturer in Kenya and the only locally owned one at that time.
In today’s market, it is estimated that there are over 60 paint manufacturers in the country, making our Paint Manufacturing Industry the most competitive in the entire East and Central African regions and by far the most advanced technically.
Operating in this very challenging environment, it gives us immense pleasure to boast that Galaxy Paints and Coatings Limited, is currently ranked amongst the top 5 Paint Companies in the country and enjoys the enviable reputation of being one of the most dependable coatings’ company in Kenya.
Over the years, our emphasis has been on customer satisfaction via technical innovations and to that end we have made significant investments in the latest international technology, precision machinery and testing equipment and of course trained technical personnel. In addition, we source our raw materials from the very best international sources.
This has resulted in a very comprehensive range of high specification/performance products, which service the architectural, automotive, marine and specialized industrial sectors, in each of which we command a respectable market share.
Inorder to bring out further paint innovation, high standards of quality and technological improvements, we are proud to partner with Marmoram in South Africa for customized wall coating systems, which in Kenya is operating under our sister company Molecular Kenya Limited.

Today, Galaxy is home to over 200 highly competent, committed and well trained personnel who fully embrace the value of providing our customers timely service and cost effective coating solutions for all requirements in its operations based in Nairobi with distribution depots in Mombasa, Kisumu and Eldoret, along with a country wide distribution network, allowing us to reach all our customer bases: Nairobi, Central, Western Kenya, Coastal, Eastern, Northeastern, Rift Valley and Nyanza.
